First grade had a Master Gardener come visit today for the end of their plant unit! Ms. Jami quizzed them on the parts of plants and answered questions from students. She also showed students some plants she grew herself: zinnias, lilies, mint, basil, parsley, and tomatoes, and explained how we can grow our own plants for food and spices. Also, as a part of today’s lesson, students were able to plant their own wild flower seeds to grow themselves!!
