This is a reminder that If you signed up for the work program, it begins next week, Monday July 5,2021 at 8am. Maintenence workers will not report until the week of July 19, 2021. Please report to the library at 8am. Make sure you bring a lunch. Please contact Mr. Carter for more information.

Week 2 of the CTE summer bridge program is this week! All incoming freshmen can gain a quick overview of the Floral Design program with Mrs. Nicholas. It will be immediately following summer workouts, with lunch and transportation provided. We hope to see everyone there!

P-EBT Application is Open!
Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) provides food benefits to families with enrolled students (up to 21 years of age) who temporarily lost access to free or reduced-price school meals for the 2020–2021 school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA), Texas Department of Agriculture and Texas Health and Human Services request that schools attempt to contact eligible families now, as the P-EBT application opens June 2, 2021.

The application opens June 2. Deadline to apply is Aug. 13, 2021.
Who is Eligible?
Students who are certified for free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
Students who attend a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) or Provision 2 (P2) school that offers free meals to all students.
Children born after Aug. 1, 2014, in families who received SNAP benefits for at least one month between October 2020 and June 2021.
Who Needs to Apply?
A parent/guardian must apply if eligible student is:
Enrolled in K-12 and NOT part of a family who received SNAP benefits for at least one month between August 2020 and June 2021.
Born on or before Aug. 1, 2014, and is part of a family who received SNAP benefits for the first time during the 2020–2021 school year in May or June 2021.
A parent/guardian does not have to apply if eligible student or child is:
Born on or before Aug. 1, 2014, and is part of a family who received SNAP benefits for at least one month between August 2020 and April 2021.
Born after Aug. 1, 2014, and is part of a family who received SNAP benefits for at least one month between October 2020 and June 2021.

The students will have an opportunity to work at different departments within Carlisle ISD during the week of July 5-8, earning pay and gaining experiences as they prepare for the workplace environment. Reminder: We will have a full day of school on Wed. May 26, 2021. Thursday, May 27, 2021 will be an early release day. Elementary will dismiss at 12:50 and Secondary will dismiss at 1:00pm.

The Texas Education Agency has approved our waiver of the school days missed during the winter storm February 15-19. We have to adjust the calendar so that the May 26 early release day is changed to a regular day of instruction. May 27 is still an early release day.
Otherwise, the calendar remains the same.
The last day of school for students is May 27, and High School Graduation is May 28.
